A new app just launched that may interest you: The Serendipity Machine. It is a free app (you can download it from here), that uses an AI algorithm designed to connect you with other people nearby who might have something interesting to share with you.
Over the past month, The Serendipity Machine website has released a trilogy of blogs about the development and launch of the app, by Beatriz Bremer.
The first in the series, written with Tom Rijntjes, tells about how the group moved from creating opportunities for people to meet up with each other face to face (through Seats2meet – see their story here) to designing their new AI algorithm, which they have named ‘OBER’ (Ontology Based Engine for Recommending People).
